Education plays a vital role in helping train, develop, and inspire young people. For this reason, we strive to build a high school program that is challenging, engaging, and designed to bring quality instruction from a distinctly Christian worldview.

Students today have a multitude of distractions that compete for their attention, so we are committed to creating learning environments that are conducive to active participation and ones in which students will feel connected and thrive. Working to enhance the balance of technology and the traditional style of learning while maintaining academic integrity and accountability is a top priority for us. We also recognize in order to reach the students of today, the way we teach needs to change, so we embrace new learning methods such as blended learning, project based learning, and alternative forms of assessment. Embedded in all we do is the belief that each student is uniquely designed by God with gifts, talents, and abilities that are like no one else, so our goal is to create learning environments that allow for these individual differences and help each student to be successful and develop a love of learning.

My own journey as an educator is a unique story as I received my Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health Science and a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology and completed my Doctoral work and residency in Psychology with a specialization in Teaching and Instruction. I began my work experience working with families at the Department of Family & Children's Services in the state of Georgia before coming to Trinity as a 5th grade teacher. After two years, I transitioned to the high school as a teacher, counselor, and Academic Dean, and concurrently have developed and refined my own practice as a teacher at the collegiate level as an adjunct professor at Strayer University.

Aside from my relationship with God, my most important role is wife to Jeremy and mother to three active, amazing boys. My experiences as a wife, mother, educator, and Christ follower make me who I am and have provided me with a unique perspective on the many different aspects of student growth and learning. I am passionate about helping each student find their own unique story in God’s perfect plan.

My life goal can be summed up best by the apostle Paul in Philippians 3:10:

"[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope].” AMPC
