Honors

We are proud to offer honors courses across each grade level. Honors courses require more extensive reading and preparation and take students beyond the college preparatory courses. Students must satisfy the following requirements for admission to an honors-level course:

  • Exemplary performance on aptitude and achievement tests

  • Exemplary past performance in a specific subject area

  • Combined recommendations of teachers and department chairs

Advanced Placement

The philosophy behind Advanced Placement courses is to offer a class that is the academic equivalent of a college introductory course with comparable rigor and requirements. Students who take these classes are committed to academic discovery and intellectual stringency. The Advanced Placement program at Trinity has grown exponentially in the last few years. Our AP program offerings include subjects as diverse as Economics, US History, Language and Composition, Studio Art, Music Theory, Calculus, and European History to name a few. Each year our course offerings vary according to students’ interests and academic needs.

Dual Enrollment

Through a partnership with Point University, a fully accredited secondary institution, we currently offer our high school students the opportunity to earn college credits through our dual enrollment program. Although Point University’s Peachtree City campus is a short 10 minute drive away, Trinity students are able to take many of the dual enrollment courses on our campus. Additionally, we partner with other schools and online programs to offer additional college coursework in order to customize an academic plan that best meets the needs of individual students. One exciting recent addition to our college partnerships is our involvement with West Georgia Technical College where students are able to take classes that expand from a wide range of certificate, diploma and degree offerings while finishing their high school coursework.
