TCS Preschool and Kindergarten

The early childhood years play a formative role in establishing a student’s success later in life. Trinity’s preschool and kindergarten program focuses on building a strong academic and spiritual foundation through challenging and engaging curriculum taught from a biblical worldview. Beginning at age three, we offer an energetic, nurturing, interactive environment where students experience academic, spiritual, and social success.

Age Levels

Students must be 3 years old by September 1st in order to enroll in Trinity PreK.

Preschool and Kindergarten Hours

Trinity’s preschool offers both half day and full day classes.  The half day program is offered exclusively to three year olds.  Classes begin at 8:15 and dismiss at 11:45.  Three year olds may attend either the 3-day (M-W-F) or 5-day classes.  Four year olds attend school full day and may choose from either 3-day (M-W-F) or 5-day class offerings.  Classes begin at 8:15 and dismiss at 2:15.  The kindergarten schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:15-2:15. We offer a before school program at 7:00 a.m. and an after school program for full day students from 2:15-6:00 p.m.

Curriculum

The preschool and kindergarten use curriculum from Bob Jones University Press, Abeka, and Handwriting without Tears. Subjects include Bible, phonics, language development, reading, math, handwriting, science, health, and social studies.  Students also enjoy art, music, social growth activities, and kinesthetic development weekly.

Class Size

The pre-school classes are nominally limited to 14 students per class. Kindergarten classes are usually limited to 15 students per class. Pre-school and kindergarten classes both have full time teacher assistants.

Chapel

TCS chapel periods are conducted weekly by either the pastoral staff or the Preschool & Kindergarten Principal, focusing on evangelical, non-denominational Christian character development.

Academic Accountability

TCS is accredited through ILCS, SACS, and AdvancED, and is a member of GISA.

Parent Internet Communication

TCS subscribes to RenWeb, a web-based school administrative service that gives each parent a direct link to their student’s homework assignments, progress reports, attendance, behavior records, etc.
